Meet our owner and founder
Camille Honiball
If you have enough time! do have a look at the CV of our founder who started teaching swimming as a qualified instructor in 1983 and then established Camille’s SWIM STUDIO in 1994. The name was later changed to the SWIM STUDIO.
VISION
Camille’s vision is for every child to be water safe and swimming freestyle and backstroke properly/competently by the time they leave Gr4, through her unique standardized Water Safety and Swim Syllabus followed and taught during school hours by school teachers of Gr R to Gr4 — even at schools without pools.
This will result in an entire new generation in turn all teaching their own children the ‘abc’ of water safety and swimming, just as every parent teaches his/her child to count 1-2- 3, as young as possible. This will uplift every community by changing streams, rivers, dams and pools — that used to be a hazardous life endangering environment – to an opportunity for healthy recreation, keeping children off the streets.
It will also drastically enlarge the South African talent pool for further competitive specialization and provide numerous career opportunities across the board — inclusive of all previously disadvantaged rural communities.
